Whitney Houston — 1963-2012
I have some sad news to report. One of the strongest female singing voices of our generation has passed away. Whitney Houston was one of the best selling artists in history. She sold 170 million albums and accrued a Guinness world record of 415 awards.
Her voice was unmatched. With incredible range and power, many have tried to emulate, but none have succeeded. I honor her memory tonight with my long standing tradition. I immortalize her as a jedi spirit.
May she rest in peace.
